About Emmanuel Baptist Church

Our Purpose

To put it simply, the purpose of the Church is to continue the ministry of Jesus — preparing people for heaven and bettering their lives on the earth. Jesus said, “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” (John 10:10 NIV)

When we know Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour, He not only gives us eternal life, He also gives us the abundant life that He promises in the verse above. In the book of Galatians, the Bible tells us that the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. These are qualities that we all want to have in our lives, and it is the role of the Church to help everyone who knows Jesus live in the fullness of the fruit of the Spirit. It’s an exciting journey!

As a church, we are committed to being there for all people in our community. We want to be the “hands and feet” of Jesus in Prince Edward County and help others come to know Him as Saviour, and to better their lives in whatever way we can. We are endeavouring to put in place programmes for all ages that will help people in as many ways as possible.
