Days for Girls

Days for Girls (DfG) is a nonprofit organization founded in 2008 that prepares and distributes sustainable menstrual health solutions to girls who would otherwise miss school during their monthly periods. Each kit comes in a drawstring bag and includes reusable cloth menstrual pads made up of colorful shields and liners, panties, a washcloth and soap, a carry pouch for washing and storing, and other items. These kits enable girls to carry their clean and used pads discreetly and manage their own hygiene with confidence.

During distributions, communities also receive health education aimed at breaking stigmas and cultural taboos associated with menstruation.

Volunteer Opportunities

Our local Days for Girls group welcomes volunteers for a variety of tasks, with no experience or sewing skills required. We meet every other Thursday at the church from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.
