Missions

Wellington Foodbank

The Storehouse Foodbank currently serves 272 individuals twice each month, supporting families and individuals across Wellington, Hillier, Consecon, Rosehall, Carrying Place, Ameliasburgh, Rednersville, and Bloomfield. Deliveries are also provided for shut-ins and for anyone unable to get a ride to the food bank.

Over the years, the ministry has grown far beyond food support. The Storehouse now provides several seasonal programs to care for children, families, and seniors in our community:

  • Back-to-School Fundraiser – Each year, the food bank purchases backpacks, school supplies, and clothing for children returning to school.
  • Snow Suit Campaign – In partnership with the Prince Edward OPP, the Storehouse provides children with snowsuits, coats, boots, hats, and mittens. When funds allow, winter clothing is also purchased for seniors.
  • Christmas Angels – During the Christmas season, each child receives Christmas gifts, pajamas, socks, underwear, and slippers. Families also receive artificial Christmas trees, ornaments, and wrapping supplies.
