Once again, but with great difficulty, the migrant workers from Jamaica and Bahamas will be coming to the to work on the farms again this year. they all must isolate for two weeks which is a difficult time for most. The Backpack Ministry will try to deliver backpacks to the workers following safe Covid -19 protocols. This year the plan is for the Backpack Ministry to try and cover workers on five farms. We are asking for the help of Emmanuel in providing as many of these workers as possible with a Care Backpack filled with goods, to show these men the love of Jesus in a very practical way. Here are some things they need:
Medium and Large men's hoodies (New or in good used condition; Coats, Raincoats, Socks, Shoes (all sizes), rubber boots, Backpacks, Toothpaste, Toothbrushes, disposable razors, bandages, Tylenol or Aspirin, facecloths, towels, hand towels, pen and paper, granola bars, deodorant, vaseline or hand ream, shampoo work gloves, toques, cooking pots with lids, Bibles, reading material, Tim Horton's & Grocery gift cards
You can drop off items at the church in the provided storage bin or if you would like to leave it on your porch to get picked up, you can fill in the form below. Everything will be properly sanitized and dropped off to the workers as they self isolate.
